Raceland-Worthington High School Kiwanis Scholarship Winner

 

 

Shelby Rister is the winner of the 2018 Kiwanis Key Club scholarship at Raceland-Worthington High School.

Rister received the $1,000 scholarship last Tuesday from Don Golightly, immediate past-president of the Kiwanis Club of East Greenup County. She told Kiwanis members she will be attending Ohio University Southern in Ironton beginning August 27, where she will pursue a degree in nursing. The daughter of Don and Jackie Rister of Greenup, Rister served as president of the Kiwanis-sponsored Key Club at Raceland-Worthington. She was also a member of the Beta Club and served as its treasurer for two years and president one year. She was vice president of the Spanish Honor Society, a student leader for special needs students, participated inn the Chick-fil-A leadership program and was a Rams cheerleader. She completed numerous hours of public service and helped the Kiwanis Club with its major fundraisers: Run by the River and the semi-annual pancake breakfasts.

                               RUSSELL KEY CLUB KIWANIS SCHOLARSHIP WINNER 


Brianna Antis is the recipient of the 2018 Kiwanis Key Club scholarship at Russell High School.
The $1,000 scholarship is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of East Greenup County, and was presented to   Brianna Antis  during a recent meeting by club president Lisa Henderson. Antis told Kiwanis members she plans to enroll at the University of Kentucky this fall where she will pursue a degree in chemical engineering. She will be participating in UK’s Honors College program. She is the youngest daughter of Keith and Salena Antis of Russell. Her four older sisters are Kia, Danielle, Robin and Renae. She was the salutatorian of her 2018 graduating class at Russell, where she was an active member of the Kiwanis-sponsored Key Club, the Garden Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the dance team, tennis team and lift club.
